Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the initiation of the Ghatal Master Plan during a government meeting in Arambag. In her address, she highlighted the government's commitment to working despite the absence of funds from the Central Government.

Emphasizing actor and Member of Parliament, Dev's role, Mamata Banerjee praised him as a real hero for urging the creation of the master plan for the people of Ghatal. The comprehensive plan, unveiled during the meeting, is slated for completion within 3-4 years.
